Weight Loss Tips That Work
Welcome back and I want to kick this post off with a topic that is probably not so highly thought of by those people who are trying to lose weight. That’s the subject of weight loss tips that work. Why is this, you may ask? Well, I’ll get on and tell you.
Under the kosh of overwhelming media pressure, most people feel that the only way they can successfully lose weight is to take on one of the more highly popularized weight loss programs or plans or special diets that is the current flavor of the month. They are diverted away from the more natural ways of achieving this by clever marketing and promises of easy slimming if you follow this or that great new plan that comes with a bunch of guarantees that are often not worth the paper they are written on.
So what is the alternative?
Well, believe it or not, losing weight is actually a very natural and personal process that involves one person alone who can make it work or fail depending upon the decisions they make. That person is you!
It can often be hard to swallow, but you are the architect of your own destiny whichever way you look at it and in all areas of your life, not least of your health and well being and that includes the state of your body, whether over weight or under weight. Therefore that same person, you, is ultimately responsible for making something work or not. You are the one who must make your choices and no one else can do this for you. Sound a little tough? Well, maybe it is but in this day and age we have become far too accustomed to being told what to do told what to eat and when and how much. We’ve become so dependent on someone else making our important decisions for us we’ve almost forgotten who is supposed to be in charge of our bodies!
That person is not your doctor, not your parents, not your spouse, not your boss, not your physical trainer (although if you have one of those you are probably not in need of this advice)… its you! You are in charge and you must take charge not only of your weight but of your overall health and well being, because to have one means a complimentary having of the other.
That’s probably the one fundamental weight loss tip that works above all others. You have to make the decision to take charge of your life and to do what you have to do to lose weight by choosing a healthy, balanced diet and making yourself do plenty of regular exercise without cheating. That last point is so important, because if you cheat, the only person you are cheating is you. No one else!
So get to it, take charge and set your goals and stick to them!
